Version: 2026-07-26-v5

Effective date: 26 July 2026

Safety, moderation and privacy contact: lcsdjn@hotmail.com

This Policy explains how to report content, appeal moderation, complain about online safety, or make a data protection complaint. It should be read with the Terms of Use, Community Rules, and Privacy Notice.

English

1. Emergencies

Forest Board is not an emergency service and is not monitored continuously. If someone is in immediate danger in the UK, call 999 or 112. For a non-emergency police matter, call 101. Do not wait for a Forest Board response.

2. What you can report or complain about

Anyone may contact us about:

fraud, privacy exposure or another Community Rules breach;

measures;

You do not need to prove that content is illegal before reporting it. Give an honest explanation of your concern.

3. How to make a report

For a post, use its Report control and select the closest reason. A first credible personal-information report may hide a post pending review; most other categories hide after three independent reports. These thresholds are safety signals, not final decisions, and do not prevent earlier moderator action.

For replies, public highlights, account concerns, inaccessible reporting, data protection complaints or detailed safety complaints, email lcsdjn@hotmail.com. A person without an account may use the same address.

Please include, where available:

Do not send passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, unnecessary medical information, or copies of suspected child sexual abuse material. For suspected child sexual exploitation or abuse content, provide only the service reference and context needed to locate it.

4. Triage and investigation

We prioritise reports according to apparent severity, immediacy, likelihood and impact. We may temporarily hide content while assessing it. We may review the reported material, relevant report history, limited account/security records and contextual material. We will not disclose a reporter's identity to the reported user unless required by law or genuinely necessary for a fair process.

Possible outcomes include no action, a warning, restoration, removal, removal from public highlights, a temporary restriction, account suspension, account closure, a product or policy change, or referral to an appropriate authority.

We distinguish disagreement and offensive but lawful expression from content that breaks the Rules. Decisions take account of context, severity, user safety, privacy and freedom of expression.

5. Response targets

Because Forest Board has a small moderation team, these are targets rather than guarantees, except where the law sets a deadline:

when seen;

7 calendar days and decided within 30 calendar days; and

without undue delay, with updates and the outcome communicated without undue delay.

If a matter is complex or requires outside information, we will explain the delay and provide an update where we have contact details.

6. Notice of outcome

Where practical and lawful, we tell the complainant whether action was taken and tell an affected account the nature and reason for a restriction or removal. We may withhold details that would expose another person, undermine security, prejudice an investigation, reveal confidential detection methods or conflict with law.

7. Appeals

A member may appeal removal of their content, an account restriction, or a rejected report by emailing us within 30 days of the decision. State the decision, why it may be wrong and any relevant context not previously considered.

The appeal will be reconsidered against the Rules and information then available. A different reviewer will consider it where reasonably possible. If that is not possible because Forest Board has only one available operator, the operator will conduct a fresh review and record that limitation. We will uphold, change or reverse the decision and give a concise reason.

8. Data protection complaints and rights

Use the subject line Data protection complaint or 数据保护投诉. We will record the complaint, acknowledge it within 30 days, make appropriate enquiries, keep you informed where necessary, and communicate the outcome without undue delay. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity, but will not request more than needed.

You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or telephone 0303 123 1113. We ask that you contact us first so we have an opportunity to resolve the issue, but this does not remove your right to contact the ICO.

9. Online-safety concerns and authorities

After contacting us, you may tell Ofcom about concerns regarding an in-scope online service through its online-safety complaint information: ofcom.org.uk/make-a-complaint. Ofcom uses reports to supervise services and generally does not decide individual requests to remove or restore content.

We will comply with lawful preservation and disclosure requirements. From 7 April 2026, regulated UK user-to-user services must report detected and previously unreported child sexual exploitation and abuse content to the National Crime Agency in accordance with the applicable reporting regime.

10. Abusive reports

Good-faith reports are welcome even when no breach is found. Knowingly false, repetitive, automated or retaliatory reports may themselves breach the Rules. We will not penalise someone merely because their complaint is unsuccessful.

11. Records, privacy and review

We process report and complaint information only as explained in the Privacy Notice. In-product reports normally expire with their post after 72 hours. Separate complaint and appeal case records are restricted to those who need them and normally retained for three years after closure, or longer where law, an active investigation or a legal claim requires it. Online-safety risk assessment and compliance records are retained for at least three years.

We review this Policy and our risk assessments at least annually and before a significant service change. Material policy changes will be announced in the service.
